- 390 Grams All Purpose Flour (3 1/4 Cups)
- 1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
- 3/4 Teaspoon Salt
- 303 Grams Unsalted Butter Softened (1 1/3 Cups)
- 250 Grams Granulated Sugar (1 1/4 Cups)
- 220 Grams Light Brown Sugar Firmly Packed (1 Cup)
- 2 Eggs Room Temperature
- 4 Teaspoons Vanilla Extract
- 340 Grams Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips (12 Ounces)
- 117 Grams Walnuts Chopped (1 Cup) (Optional)
Preheat oven to 375°F. Mix 390 Grams All Purpose Flour, 1 Teaspoon Baking Soda and 3/4 Teaspoon Salt in medium bowl. Set aside.
Beat 303 Grams Unsalted Butter250 Grams Granulated Sugar and 220 Grams Light Brown Sugar in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy.
Add 2 Eggs, one at a time and4 Teaspoons Vanilla Extract; mix well.
Gradually beat in flour mixture on low speed until well mixed.
Stir in 340 Grams Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips and 117 Grams Walnuts, if desired.
Drop by rounded tablespoons about 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheets.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool on baking sheets 1 minute. Remove to wire racks; cool completely.
I have made this recipe dozens of times and it is always a hit with the recipients.
P.S. I have started making these with a full-sized ice cream scoop and cook them for about 15 minutes.
